I’ve been up since 6:00AM and I already have my venti soy iced coffee with 3 pumps of cinnamon dolce from Starbucks in hand. I therefore decided to write this morning seeing that my last blog post was a cliché one written on the last day of 2013, pfft. I obviously suck at this whole consistent blogging thing (I’m sure I mentioned in my last post how I wanted to do a better job, clearly I’m doing a fabulous job).
So what’s going on in the sweet life of Brooke? Well, I am officially a senior in college (woah). The years drag by in high school, but once you are in college you blink and then you are a senior wondering where all the time went. This is now where I am at in life. I am constantly being asked what my “next step” I’m taking in my life and I honestly do not know, but who would? I am turning a 21-year-old soon (4 days till the big day) and can answer that question with a million different answers. I mean, there is so much I want to do and so much I want to see, where do I begin?
Lately I have focused on my itch for another travel adventure and luckily I just purchased a ticket to Los Angeles, California. Thanks to my fabulous mother for helping me with the weekend getaway for my birthday! I will soon be able to cross of traveling to the state of California off my bucket list (maybe Las Vegas too) and cannot wait to see if west coast is really the best coast. The only thing I am not looking forward too is the heat. I get grouchy so let’s hope there is a pool near by that I swim in for the entire weekend.
To add to my wanderlust I have wanted to plan another big trip next year after I graduate. I have thought a trip to Bali for a another turtle conservation project or a backpacking trip to Europe. There’s just so much to see of the world and I’m not sure where to begin.
Since the school year ended my brain has been bombarded with thoughts about my future, traveling, work (because that is all I do), and a million other things. I have no idea why I woke up at 6:00am and decided to write and redesign my entire blog, but I did. It set my mind at ease and helped me to relax. It reminded me why I love writing so much and helped me get back on track. Therefore, I decided I would set some short-term goals for myself to improve my lifestyle and maybe some of my readers
1. DON’T over think, just breathe
2. Write more about every thing
3. Enjoy the free time with a book, a nap, and wine
4. Survive my 21st birthday
More to come soon!
